Local Proud – Google Analytics Says Off to a Great Start!

Rev Up just mentioned Local Proud and things are looking pretty solid for this new little site!

Though Local Proud hasn’t “Officially” launched yet it does show tremendous opportunity. Having just released word on April 5th, 2010, unofficially the site went up with zero offers on March 15, 2010. The widget went live on Buffalo, New Yorks WKBW on March 26th.

To date (April 5, 2010), the traffic according to Google Analytics stands at:

428 Absolute Unique Visitors
886 Visits
5,912 Pageviews
6.67 Average Pageviews
and an average of 08:13 Time spent on Site

The site only has 36 offers at this time and most of them are in the Buffalo, NY area. It’s a pretty interesting dynamic when you think about it – very few offers but some great initial numbers.

More to come on this as our numbers grow. We were interviewd last week by a website called Local Media Insider, a business news service for interactive media executives. Local Media Insider is owned and opporated by Alisa Cromer, a dynamic person who loves media, local and bringing content together. LocalProud “A Coupon Program Without the Coupons”

Rev Up annouced today a new program called Local Proud!

The “Go Green” movement just got another ally with a brand new program called Local Proud. Now local businesses can cut down on their traditional paper coupons by offering their customers special offers just for displaying a card or their mobile phone. Local Proud Perks cards are distributed by participating business at no charge to consumers. But there is more than meets the eye to this clever program. It also pushes the concept of shopping locally and invoking a sense of pride to the community.

“It’s a great way to stimulate the local economy, while at the same time, reminding consumers that local businesses are a valuable asset to our communities”, says co-founder Jeff Palmer of Dallas, Texas-based Rev Up, LLC.

Palmer, along with partners Randall Duncan and David Welsh formed Rev Up, LLC in 2005 as a media promotions sales company to assist television stations with new media platforms. Over the last five years, they have assisted TV stations in securing over 30 million dollars of new revenue. Leading the industry as innovators with new branding concepts for its programs, Rev Up continues to change the way media outlets service their customer base.

“We are constantly creating new ways for our station partners to generate revenue, however, the recession has brought a lot of challenges when it comes to local sales. Local Proud is the perfect solution to both the media and the local businesses in an economy that is still struggling to get back on its feet”, comments Palmer.

Since Rev Up has its roots in the television industry, that has been they’re main focus since inception. But now, with the Local Proud program, they are geared to go beyond TV and into other media like newspaper, radio, local circulars and more.

Just out of the box in March 2010, Local Proud launched in partnership with WKBW television in Buffalo, New York. They love the concept so much, a weekly television program with the same name is in the works to debut later this year. Re Up is assisting by producing all the show elements for the opens, closes and bumpers – which adds another unique element to this company. Rev Up produces all the promotional materials for its programs including videos, graphics, TV spots and even custom music.

Local Proud is currently forming partnerships with local media in Dallas to launch in May. Other markets will soon follow.
